The way humans have impacted the environment and the Snapping Turtles are indirectly killing different animals and also hurting themselves as well. For an example, different things such as throwing trash in the rivers and lakes might not seem like a big deal, but when tons of people do that over time, it will hurt the animals. The turtles mistaken the trash for the food, and once they eat it, it ends up hurting them. Not only are the Alligator Turtles the one dying but their food as well. Small fishes get trapped in the bags or trash and than die. This causes lack of food for the turtles, which causes more death. Also, the pollution in the water hurts humans because it causes a lack of fresh water.
